NEW CADET RIFLE ON THE WAY!

Well it is now official, the long awaited upgraded rifle is finally on it's way, according to the Army Cadet Force Magazine

The rifle has been a long time in development but the people behind it are confident it will be worth the time and money invested.

It has been built specifically and soley for cadet use, based on the Regular Army's L85A2 rifle. It is identical to that weapon apart from one crucial element; the Cadet rifle cannot fire automatically. The new weapon is entirely self-loading, which should greatly improve the marksmanship skills of cadets, as they will no longer have to break their aim to try and cock the weapon, which on the older version as we all know was a nightmare with that stupid cocking handle contraption. The weapon has gas parts which will mean new drills to learn.

BLANK FIRING SYSTEM

The blank firing system enables the rifle to fire normally and safely with blank ammunition. The system consists of a blank firing attachment, incorporating a bullet trap and a specially designed blank magazine.
