WELCOME

This is a merger which will benefit all, and I hope you will all continue to enjoy being members of what I feel is now the best ACF unit in the UK, and certainly in Wales.

It is an honour for me to be the first Commandant of the Clwyd & Gwynedd ACF, and I look forward to meeting you all during the coming months, and if not in your detachments, certainly at Camp.

This merger will allow us to benefit from all the strengths of both Gwynedd and Clwyd, and allow us to develop teams that can compete on an equal footing with other units which have always been larger than us.

I am sure that you will all enjoy this move, and would particularly like to welcome the cadets and adults of Tywyn Platoon, who have come back home to Gwynedd, having been attached to Powys for so long; welcome.

Please use the battalion online forum as YOUR communication tool. It gives you the opportunity to discuss things that concern you, let me and the rest of the Command Team know what is good and not so good. Use it to make friends, and share knowledge.

I have been in this organisation for one or two years now, and I hope that you all get half the fun and pleasure I have over the years. if you do, you are enjoying this marvelous organisation, remember we are the oldest youth organisation in the UK, 150 years in 2010, and I was not around when it started!

Well, welcome to the Clwyd and Gwynedd ACF website and the new North Wales Region Cadet unit.

Col Mike Mullis
